I agree that there is a tremendous scope for LMS in India. The only obstacle is the awareness about the benefits of an LMS.

In Kalzoom we have developed an LMS named as HIVE. Hiveā„¢ is a completely Web-based Knowledge Management Solution framework incorporating proprietary Collaboration & Groupware tools, Knowledge Capture and Archival and Recovery tools. The pricing is based on the level of customization required. You can write to me at shyamanta@kalzoom.com to know more about Kalzoom and hive.

Yes, there is tremondous scope in India, but moreso in private institutions because politicians have too big a say in Educational policies.

Another point I'd like to make is the lack of infra structure.

However, the benefits of deploying on an LMS are perfect for the Indian scenario - its a great way to reach out, monitor and educate a large population of people.

This is useful information, but I wish there were more. Tell us about Kalzoom and Tata, for example. Tell us what kind of different pricing mechanisms are needed. I would love to read about this.
