TATA Interactive Sums It Up

Do not miss this great podcast at the TATA Interactive Systems (TIS) corporate blog. For the first time, you have some of the seniormost people from that company talking about the year that was and their thoughts for the year ahead.

TIS is leading by example once again, and hopefully other companies will take the cue to open up a little bit more and voice and share their thoughts. This can only help facilitate dialogue, which, who knows, may even lead to something more structured.

Anil Mammen on Writing for e-Learning

Harry Calhoun has written a nice piece for TrainingMag titled, "Why is writing for e-learning different?"

This article was of particular interest to me because it takes into consideration the views of Anil Mammen of Mumbai-based Tata Interactive Systems and Saul Carliner of Montreal's Concordia University.

Anand Lunia Joins Hurix

Anand Lunia, best known for co-founding Pune based e-Learning company Brainvisa, has joined Mumbai based e-Learning company Hurix Systems as EVP - Operations.

Why this news is bound to be viewed as significant within the Indian e-Learning context is that after Brainvisa, Anand moved on to Lionbridge (erstwhile Mentorix) as a Business Delivery Head. And from here, he is now back to the ultra competitive world of the Indian e-Learning Industry.

The Learned Man! would like to wish Mr. Lunia all the best in his new assignment.

Sambit Mohapatra Joins BrightWave

So finally Tata Interactive's sales superstar has moved on! This one was interesting enough for me to post here. 

"Sambit Mohapatra appointed Sales and Marketing Director to drive UK and European growth

BrightWave announces today that Sambit Mohapatra will join its Management Board as Director of Sales and Marketing on 4 April 2005. Previously Senior Vice President at Tata Interactive Systems for UK & Europe, Sambit joins BrightWave at a time of rapid growth and will lead the company’s market presence in the UK and Europe."

*June 15, 2005: Taking Sambit's place is Alan Samuel, who has been appointed as the UK head of operations at Tata Interactive Systems. Alan has big shoes to fill, managing Tata's UK based 20 member team and trying to keep up the tempo against ever increasing competition in the UK.
